In order to cut down on spam, you need several email address; one you only give to family or you employer, sceond one for registering for anything on the net and one for this site. Don't use easy to hack email address like JoeShmoe@wherever.com. Use something like fye5g4w@wherever.com, those types of addy's are hard to computer generate. use a combination of letters and numbers. The longer the addy name is the harder it is to comuter generate. Don't use your name as the addy for any email, except for family or the employer.Yahoo is way better than Hotmail. Hotmail is a lousy email service. Your general email for should be a "throw-away" addy. If you do get spam with it, just get a new addy. Don't forward emails with a list of other people's addy's. Thats a spammer's goldmine. One email with 50 forwards can turn into a list of millions of addy's in a very short time. Anytime you register online, be sure to uncheck the "send advertisement", all that is is spam. Never use the unsubscribe reply to stop the spam, that will just confirm your addy is a good one and you will get even more spam. Just delete it.Yahoo has an excellent spam blocker and it all goes to a "bulk" folder, I have yet to have a good email go there.
