Have you ever read the story of Habakkuk the prophet? If not, I would encourage you to. The book of Habakkuk in the Old Testament is a very small book and easily overlooked, but it is one of my favorite stories. I am a questioner by nature. I think who, what, when, why and especially how are the most beautiful words in the English language. If we don't ask questions, how will we ever find out anything? God says, "Come and let us reason together." I used to feel guilty about asking God questions, but I don't any more. God wants to talk with us. He seeks us out. Also read the story of Job. If there were ever questions by anyone, it is in the book of Job. God told Job that Job didn't really know what he was asking about, but God didn't chastise Job for asking questions. God chastised Job for not trusting more completely. It's not wrong to question and ask why. It is wrong to doubt. A question can be asked in faith and get a real answer from God. The same question asked in doubt will open the door to temptation. The question isn't wrong. Whether it is asked in faith or doubt is what is right or wrong. Question with faith all you want, trusting that God will answer, and then follow where the answer leads. There is nothing wrong with that kind of question.

I need prayer. I am to the point in my life that I find myself questioning God. I know that it isn't right to question God. I know that in HIS own timing he will send someone for me to love and to love me back. I get into these relationships that I know are not the right ones. Then I end up getting hurt. Deep down I feel God telling me"hold on, keep your faith in me, trust me,, etc" but a part of me just strays off down my own road and tries it on my own. And, well...I know for a fact it doesn't work trying it on my own. So I need prayer in keeping my faith in Christ Jesus. Pray that I am able to be strong in all my temptations in life.
2 years ago, I lost my grandfather. My grandfather was my hero. I want to find a man that is strong in christ like my grandfather, a man with a great heart, a man with a great outlook on life. But it seems every man I meet is the wrong man. Pray that my faith in Christ will hold strong...strong enough to be patient and wait for whoever it is that God has waiting for me.
