I am requesting as many of you on this site as possible who feel the leading of the Lord to pray for my son, Joshua. He was raped and sodomized from the age of 7-8yrs. at least once a wk. while I went to a support group and other times when I took a nap. I had gotten out of a religious cult and so had a friend (yeah) of mine I'd known for 3yrs. who was from a big catholic family. There was no relationship between us but friends, a hug as Christians, a kiss on the cheek at christmas or new years. His parents didn't want him living with me cuz our relationship only was as friends. My Dad wanted me to marry him, have a baby and divorce him and collect child support. Neither my dad or his family really had an relationship with an alive Savior. My son has gone the gamut of psychiatrist, institutionalization for a month for suicidal tendencies, medication after medication. He has never had an active father. He has embraced the gay life style even though I saw on his myspace page he is "UNSURE" of his sexual orientation. He currently likes black men the best. He was stabbed twice by one of his former lovers, once across his hand which has rendered 3 of his fingers with little feeling. Dec. 2004 I got a call that he was in a hospital in critical condition, his lover had sliced him open from under his arm to within a few milimeters of his liver. His faced was dug into his pupils were bright red. They finally moved apart but are talking everyday and I fear if he returns to this relationship he will loose his life. He was dedicated to the Lord as an infant, he was baptized, he even met Nicky Cruz at an Assembly of God we went to. He has said to me the bible has been written and rewritten so many times how do I know it is even really what Jesus said anymore. He has attended a church in Orlando with churches all over that minister being gay, lesbian, bisexual is alright and they use scriptures to refute Thessalonians or is it Romans/Joy Metropolitan Church is the name of the one in Orlando but they are all over the world. Please pray as God leads you, he belonged to the Lord so I am claiming his soul and life for the Lord. He has had relations with girls but is very, very confused about his orientation. When in Orlando I attended one P-Flag meeting and wasn't impressed at all. I also found out about a group while still in Florida, called "Exodus" for recovering homosexuals but he was 18yrs. old at the time and wanted nothing to do with it. He still carries a lot of repressed anger from the rape and the controlling part of it but the reason he didn't fight back he has told me is he knew at his size and his boyfriends he would have killed him. My son is 6'6' and 210lbs. His attacker is at most 130lbs. and approx 6'-6'2'. the whole time I was driving to Chicago I didn't know if he would be dead or alive when I got there. This has taken a toll on my health and my daughter is confused about why he likes boys and not girls. I tell her that it is not what God wants and it is sin. She worries if her brother will go to heaven or hell. In 2004 her grandpa died after we left his hospital room. In 2005 after only 6 months of marriage her stepfather walked out and never came back and she almost ended up in a Psychiatric unit. Now her Nana my dad's wife for my daughters first 6 and one-half yrs. of life refuses to have anything to do with us and her 5 children and all my daughters cousins, she has had too much loss and doesn't understand about the Nana and cousins at all. So we desperately need your prayers please. I have no family left to turn to and the people on this site are like people I've never encountered before. I also need healing for two collapsed disc that I have no disc left and it is bone on bone. God bless you all for I know many of you will read this and my children will have many prayers reaching Jesus's ears at the throne of grace. I love you all. a mother
