Lord Jesus we lift up those who are doing your work in South Korea and around the world. Father we pray that you will stifle the actions of the North Korean Government not to do such a hanis deed. We ask for the safety of all the peoples in that land. We ask this in your Son's Holy Name, Amen

As anyone who has been keeping up with the news has heard by now is that the North Korean government is planning to test a nuclear device. In South Korea there are missionaries from England, South Africa, Australia, Canada and the United States who are teaching conversational English to business professionals, university students, housewives, military personnel, and a large number of children and teens. There are over 35 schools associated with SDA Language Institute throughout South Korea. We have over 50,000 students enrolled.
Seoul has a population of over 12 million people, and if Incheon and other smaller towns surrounding Seoul are included, the estimated population goes to about 19 to 20 million people. It is over 25% of the population of South Korea.
There are Christians, Bhuddists, Taoists, Confucians, and other religions represented in this town.
Please pray for us. We have a good work for the Lord going on here, and we are being blessed every day. We are tested every day. Pray that we will be strong in our efforts as we work with each other and with the Korean people as we seek to increase the harvest. Also, pray for yourselves. Jesus promised to prepare a place for us in heaven, so we must also believe that He has prepared for us a place in the harvest. Laborers are few. Perhaps the Lord is calling you to come to Korea.
If the North Koreans develop nukes, that is between them and God. One day the two Koreas will be united, but until then we must prepare missionaries who will one day work in the harvest to be reaped in the North.
Pray for us in Jesus' name.
