Ian and Maritza

Maritza and I connected by email for the first time on April 21, 2008. We started talking two days later (3+ hours the first night!) and the rest is history, as they say! :-)

We were engaged by the end of our first week of daily talks, emailing and text messaging.
I flew to Illinois from Oregon to meet her and her three children a few weeks later when we made the engagement official and announced it at 3ABN where she was working. It was as if we'd known each other for years and the children accepted me as a father figure immediately in a way that can only be described as miraculous.

We were married on August 22, 2008 in a little chapel in Idaho. We've been living in Eastern Washington state and it just keeps getting better every day. We have had many proofs that our marriage was truly made and planned long ago in heaven. But the thing that continually amazes us the most is that all this exquisite love and joy that we are enjoying came about through a meeting on the Internet that would probably never have happened in any other way.
